Cat Litter Comparison – Cat Litter Reviews
Written by Larry C. on May 4th, 2010Many people wonder what’s the best Cat Litter to use for their cat, and look for cat litter comparisons or cat litter reviews online to learn which is best and why. First off, their really not looking for the best cat litter for their cat, their looking for the best cat litter for themselves, that doesn’t smell, or eliminates odors and won’t make a mess. Right?
Cat litter wasn’t made for cats really, it was made for humans in mind. Cats don’t care if the cat litter is pine forest fresh, they just want something that is natural to them, not convenient to humans. Cats like to poop in freshly turned soil, to prove this point you can go in your garden and turn a couple shovel fulls of soil, and in a day or two you will see cat scratchings in it. You’ll probably find a couple nice treats in there too!
The best Cat Litters I have found in doing all my cat litter comparisons, are two different brands: Arm and Hammer Cat Litter(Unscented), and Dr. Elseys Cat Attract Cat Litter. Arm and Hammer has baking soda in it as well as a couple other ingredients that kill cat urine smell, and the unscented flavor is also agreeable for cats.
Cat litter will sometimes offend a cat with it’s smell or scent, which is why you have problems sometimes with cats going OUTSIDE the box. To help improve the chances of a cat going INSIDE the box always, use an unscented odor stopping little like Arm and Hammer. Also use a coulpe table spoons of Dr. Elseys Cat Attract Cat Litter.
Dr. Elseys Cat Attract Cat Litter is made FOR CATS, not humans. Cat Attract litter is specially formulated for cats that sometimes eliminate outside the box and/or have an aversion to the cat box. Dr. Elseys Cat Attract Litter is made to attract cats with it’s natural ingredients, and to smell like dirt or other outdoor smells that cats LOVE. When I purchased my first bag of cat attract, I put it in the litter box room. and the cats actually came running and started to rub up against the bag of cat attract. After seeing this I immediately put a couple scoops in with the regular litter, and this helped my problem cat who pisses outside the box, to consistently pee inside the box.
I own a Litter Robot which I use Arm and Hammer Cat Litter in, and I also put a coulpe scoops of Dr. Elseys Cat Attract Litter in as well to help it smell appealing to my cats.
My Cats NEVER piss outside the box anymore.
